When Socrates said many years ago "The unexamined life is not worth living" he meant that a life without self-reflection is a life without meaning. This is a major challenge today as we live in a technological world full of distractions with little quality time for ourselves and others.
Our Soul Talk E-Course is a semi-structured online adventure designed to help you examine your life inside-out. Most of the material has been successfully used in the training of health professionals at university for many years.
The Soul Talk E-Course contains E-books, skills exercises and wellbeing toolbox. It takes about 30+ hours to complete and is ideal for people who prefer a self-directed challenge or who may not be able to get to our Healthy Minds Workshop.
Although 95% of people THINK they're self-aware, only 10-15% actually are. The first part of Inner Life examines the principles of neuroscience and the 3 minds (Chaotic, Contemplative & Compassionate). You'll learn how you can switch off our brain and how to switch it back on again. You'll also discover why stress is good for you IF you’re living a meaningful life.
Before you tell yourself what to do with your life, it’s a good idea to listen to it first. The second part of Inner Life examines the story that runs, and often ruins, your life. Have a deeper understanding of yourself and be amazed by what you discover through a series of self-reflection exercises. We know many stories but our own story often gets overlooked.
Ever felt like your going along to get along, distracted or drifting, but don't have enough time for the important things in life? The first part of Outer Life uses a step-by-step approach to help you learn how to self-monitor and manage yourself better as well as enrich everyday routines. You'll also develop a greater awareness of the people around you, discover your own relationship style, as well as learn how to repair and deepen your relationships through the soul talk basics.
Tired of small talk? Learn soul talk!. The second part of Outer Life teaches you how to shed light on another person's position and circumstance. You'll learn how to deepen your relationships listening and responding in non-judgemental ways. These advanced soul talk skills have been used successfully to train health professionals at university for many years, and are designed to help you have an impact in our lonely world.
Our Mind & Soul Toolbox is the perfect companion for personal work and soul talk with others.
Use any tool to start a wellbeing conversation with yourself or a family member or friend. The only qualifications you need are the willingness to look at your own life, be honest and connect with others. The aim is not to finish all levels but to enjoy the journey and go as far as you can.

Sink OR Swim (0.5 hour) Monitor how you’re doing in four primary areas of your life (Relationships, Recreation, Workspace, Headspace). This snapshot tool will increase your self-awareness and identify personal needs.
Wellbeing Dashboard (1 hour) Take a look at how you’re doing across eight different areas. This Wellness Dashboard is a more detailed wellbeing tool to help identify specific areas of your life that need attention and change.
Resilience Dashboard (1 hour) Learn how to sail through storms using the eight resilience elements of our lifeboat metaphor. By developing these elements and learning how to read your resilience dashboard, you’ll become more self-aware and make better life choices.
Soul Journey (1 hour) Believe it or not, psychology means ‘study of the soul’. Find out where you are on your soul journey and adjust your direction to reach your destination. This is a challenging soul-searching tool that can help give your life direction.
Mood Journal (1 hour) Once you’ve reflected on your journey, it’s important to identify what thoughts trigger your stress response. The journal will help you become more aware of your changing moods and help you manage them before they manage you.
Life Story (6-8 hours) Get a deeper understanding of yourself and be amazed by what you discover through a series of self-reflection exercises. We know many stories, but our own story often gets overlooked.
My Authentic Self (2 hours) Make the most of your choices and open yourself up to a world of possibilities. In this course, you will explore internal and external awareness, identify your values and strengths, and discover ways to live an authentic life.
To be the Captain of your Mind & Soul means learning how to manage the Dash of Life and navigate The Big 5 life issues. This free introductory workshop offers a Dash of Life Cafe. It is the first step of our Soul Talk Project.
Take Your Life Back is open to all adults and it's the first step of our Soul Talk Project. We meet in community centres for 1-hr/wk over 4-weeks during school terms. Bookings are essential. Contact the community centre direct to book your free seat:
